Pelikan M100 (1966-1970)

Model M100 was introduced in 1966, the next year Pelikan M series were introduced. All in solid 14 carat gold (nib, cap top, cap tube, clip, sleeve, barrel ring, and turning knob)⁽¹⁾, the model was the most luxurious fountain pen in the series. It was, so to speak, the successor to 700NN. The internal structures (nib, thermic-regulator, filling mechanism) were the same as that of M30. M100 was similar in appearance to M60, which was in all rolled gold, with a few differences: M100's surface was all guilloché, while M60's was striped along its entire length. M100's surface was engraved "14C-585" all over as shown below.

M100 was redesigned in 1970: the shapes of the nib and the section were changed and nibs became 18 carat gold. M100 was discontinued in 1973. Since then, no regular model has been made in full solid gold.

Note;⁽¹⁾For each solid gold part, hallmark "14C-585" was inscribed.
