The old descriptive method is seen on model 400 (1950/51) (Fountain Pen Network), while the new descriptive method is seen in Pelikan Preisliste 70B/8 (1951). So, the changeover might be sometime in early 1951. "D" nibs are "durchschreibe-(D)-federn mit besonders harter spitze (carbon copy nibs with extra hard tip)"(click).
