There are vast of information on Pelikan pens in books, websites, posters, brochure, sour personal experiences, and pens themselves. However, information are often scattered like islands on the Ocean, or buried like gold under the mine.

The aim of this site is to record, preserve, and share information on vintage Pelikan pens before they have gone missing.

What are

vintage Pelikan pens"?

What's "vintage Pelikan pen"? Every Pelikan lovers may have their own definition of "vintage Pelikan pen". Initially, the fountain pens listed here were only model 100 family and their economy lines. When I revised this website in April, 2022, model 400 family and their economy lines were added. Now, these are taken together "vintage Pelikan pens" for me, and I would say that they are "the first and the second generation" of Pelikan fountain pens, respectively. The reasons are presented in Overview.

What I'm doing?

What I'm doing is to collect, unearth, refine, organize, unite, sometimes correct information on vintage Pelikan pens. There sometimes exist gap of information between/within these sources. I'm trying to fill up or supplement with my private researches and personal communications with Pelikan pen lovers/experts.

What are described?
How are they described?

This site describes the characteristics of prewar vintage Pelikan pens (e.g. model100, IBIS) "version by version”. Postwar vintage Pelikan pens (e.g. model 400, 140) are described "model by model". Please see Overview. For most part, the descriptions are from my posts and other contributors' to Fountain Pen Network. The texts and photos may be edited and different from the original posts.
