Pelikan 100Nf (ca.1950)
In March, 1938, the model 100N was expanded with two desk pen models.
-
Model 100Nf; "f" stood for "fest (fixed)", as it had a fixed extension (holder).
-
Model 100Na; "a" stood for "abnehmbar (removable)", as it had a removable extension.
According to Penboard.de, "Desk sets are mostly found in Italy, where such desk sets were much more requested". Pelikan Milan produced was producing desk pens to follow Italian demand. These pens were based on the model 100Nf pens without grip threads and cap unit, made to be desk pens only (Pelikan-collectibles). My pen looks like two pens in the model 100S (ca.1950) as listed in the Italian catalogs (Penboard.de). The grip section is smooth without step (Fig.3). The smooth grip section was introduced in 1949. The seal is black elastomer seal (modified type)(Fig.5), which was in use until 1950. Moreover, different from the normal 100Nf, sleeve is incorporated into the barrel. So, there is no step between the barrel and grip section (Fig.4-2), which was typical characteristics of Milan model. Taken together, my pen is likely produced around 1949 in Milan factory.

Note;⁽¹⁾As I can't disassemble the pen, some data is not available.
